Public relations firm DW World Media (DWWM) has announced the addition of award-winning Liberian visual artist Nora Musu to its client roster. Musu has teamed with DWWM to serve as a buffer between her and the art world to increase her presence, expand her reach on a broader scale and solidify her brand as a mixed media artist.

"I am excited to have Nora join our DW family," said Steph Harmon, DWWM Co-Founder/CEO. "We love a good story -- and Nora's is one that deserves telling. From her cultural influences, larger-than-life landscapes and vivid storytelling, we look forward to sharing her creations with not just the arts community, but the world."

Born in Madison, WI to Liberian parents, Musu was raised in Liberia, went to boarding school in England and spent much of her adult life in the U.S. Her interest in the abstract and unconventional, though piqued at an early age, was ultimately shaped by her studies at the University of Liberia. Her cultural influences are evident in her eclectic use of mixed media, movement, texture and large landscapes to create pieces that are reminiscent of ancient African stone and wooden sculpture.

Musu most recently exhibited at the Indianapolis Public Library's 26th annual "Meet The Artists," one of the city's premiere cultural events for African-American artists. She has been invited to exhibit this June at Faie African Art in Chicago, IL and has tentative showings lined up throughout the Northeast.

"Though my work has been featured across the country, I find there are still roadblocks for African American artists, particularly women, to be recognized by general, mainstream galleries," said Musu. "I look forward to working with DW to find and create opportunities to share my artistic message with a broader audience - and to be a beacon for emerging female artists such as myself."
