Evangelist Margaret Jywee Williams Nah

The Nah, Williams, Brown, Wallah Nyebor, Horace, Monger, Cranshaw, and Hansford families announce with heavy hearts the death of Evangelist Margaret Jywee Williams Nah. This sad event occurred on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, United States of America.

Jywee, as she was affectionately known, attended Monrovia Demonstration School and St. Teresa's Convent before obtaining her high school diploma at the Monrovia College & Industrial Training Institute. She later studied secretarial science at the Federal Training Center in Kaduna, Nigeria. In 1979, Margaret enrolled at the University of Auvergne, Cleremont Ferrand, France, where she earned her Associate's Degree in Bilingual Secretarial Science (French/English).

Jywee retired in 2013 as Judiciary Clerk for the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey-Essex Vicinage (Family Division, 1995-2009 and Civil Division, 2009-2012). Previously, she worked at Babyland Nursery, Inc. (1992) and New Community Corporation (1992- 1994). Before fleeing the Liberian Civil War in 1991, she served as the Personnel Director of the Liberia Broadcasting System (1983-1990); Executive Secretary of the Liberian National Bureau of Corruption; and, Secretary at the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Liberian National Police Force. In addition, she provided professional French/English interpretation and translation services at conferences convened in Liberia and Algeria (1979-1982) by the Organization of African Unity (OAU), World Health Organization (WHO), and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), among others.

Jywee was born unto the union of Mr. David Nyebor Williams and Mrs. Sarah Browne Horace, and cherished with love by her maternal grandparents, former Representative of Sinoe County, Hon. Joseph W. and Mrs. Elsie Richardson Brown. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Anthony Williams (aka Band Master Williams); her foster daughter, Clara Zaingbe; and Uncles, Joseph Brown, Jr., and Robert Morris.

Jywee leaves to grieve her passing her husband, Albert Nah, Sr.; Five children: Julene Cherie Johnson, Joseph C. Johnson, Jr. (Rolonda), Aisha Jywee Mathis-Nah, Saymah Nah, and Albert Nah, Jr.; Grand-daughter, Raven Savannah Johnson; Five adopted children: Oretha Phelps, Emmett G. Trinity, Jr., Stanley Summerville, Mardea Carr, and Mark Carlton Carr; Eight siblings: Aletha Wallah Williams-Reynolds, Ophelia Tolo Williams-Dempster (Samuel), Vivian Williams Gee (Samuel), Josephine Manee Williams Abi-Rashed, (William), James S. Horace, Jr. (Bunchie), Dr. Henry Horace ( all residing in the USA), and Pastor Andrew Bondo (Gbolue) (resides in Nigeria); Stepfather, James Horace, Sr.; and, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins: Samuel B. Dempster, Jr. , Sandra Dempster – Sinayako (Abraham), Samelia Dempster- Tweh (Adolphus), Ohe T. Dempster (Williette), Frederica Peabody, Spencer Reynolds, Michael Haynes, Gregory Dee, Musu Abi-Rachad, Sarah Abi-Rachad, William Abi-Rached, Jr., Adonis Horace, Shadrach Horace, Anak Horace, Ashley Horace, Amber Horace, Lauren Horace, Brennon Horace, Sarah Bondo, Dounard Bondo, Jarta Bondo, Marlon Bondo, Leeneh Bondo, Vivion Hansford, and Toe Nyebor; and close friends in Liberia, USA, and Nigeria, including Vireder Phelps Pederson and Edith Duchan Saybachee, among others.

Jywee was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia, Liberia. In the United States, she was a member of the Board of Trustees, former Church Administrator and Secretary of the Liberian Christian Fellowship Church (LCFC); Member of the Board of Directors of the Liberian Community Association of North Jersey (LCANJ ); Past Worthy Matron of the Angie Brooks Chapter of the Eastern Star; Member of "Women of Vision" ; Former National Treasurer of the Union of Invincible Eleven & Majestic Sports Association in the Americas (and Secretary of the I.E./ Majestic Chapter in New Jersey) ; and, Member of the United Sarbo Association of River Gee.
