Frances Estella Greene Woods

This is to announce the home-going of Frances Estella Greene Woods (Sunrise July 17, 1926), which sad event occurred on Monday, January 6, 2014, in Brewerville, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia.

Originally from Sinoe County in Liberia, the deceased spent her entire adult life in Brewerville, Montserrado County, except for a 14-year sojourn (1993 – 2006) in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, after retiring from 25 years of service with the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LIBTELCO).

She is survived by her children in the USA and Liberia to include: Mrs. Viola Woods Mitchell, Mrs. Rosetta Woods Roberts (A.A. Roberts, Sr.), Mr. Alfred Woods, Ms. Estella Woods Kpangbai, Mr. George Kofi Woods (Velma), Mr. Wendell Woods, Ms. Shirley Woods, Ms. Sara Renee Smith, Ms. Koney Jones Goodridge and Dr. Joel J. Jones (Helen); her sister Mrs. Judy Turner McGill; and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Kojo William Woods I and her son Kojo William Woods II.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 475 Cranston Street, Providence, RI 02907, USA.

Friday, January 31, 2014, 5:00 P.M. Removal of the body from the A.B. Anderson Funeral Home to the Salem Baptist Church, Brewerville, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia, for wake keeping commencing at 7:00 P.M.
