Dr. James Christopher Gbanyon Natt
The Natt family regretfully announces the death of Dr. James Christopher Gbanyon Natt. Dr. Natt dedicated most of his life to the education of children and young adults in the Republic of Liberia and in the USA. He served for many years as a teacher and principal at various schools in Monrovia, Liberia; Detroit; Ypsilanti; and Ann Arbor in the United States. He later served under presidential appointments as the Director of Scholarships and then the Director of Research and Publications at the Ministry of Education. Dr. Natt went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2012.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elma Marietta Natt; his daughter, Tuoanyene Sims (Leon) [Detroit]; his son, John Nyema Natt (Lyla) [Connecticut]; sisters, Mercy Natt [Pennsylvania] and Elizabeth Gedi Garwo [New York]; his brothers, George Natt (JoAnna) [Liberia]; William V. S. (Shad) Tubman Jr. (Wokie) [Liberia]; William Appleton (Marianne) [Germany]; his mother-in-law, Elma L. Stewart [Detroit]; his sisters-in-law, Pastor Ruby L. Moon [Detroit]; Rev. Cressie L. Inge [New York]; Lecta M. Stewart [Detroit]; his brother-in-law Henry C. Stewart Jr. (Thelma) [Roseville, Michigan]; his four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other dedicated and supportive family and friends.
